Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated 17 August 2026
This policy covers SEO subscriptions (retainers) and one-off engagements (the Audit & Roadmap, and the two sprints). It does not concern appointments, bookings or physical property of any kind — every purchasable item on this site is a professional SEO service, delivered remotely.
01 / ONE-OFF ENGAGEMENTS (AUDIT & ROADMAP, DIGITAL PR SPRINT, AI VISIBILITY SPRINT)
One-off engagements (Audit & Roadmap, Digital PR Sprint, AI Visibility Sprint)
Because these are services rather than goods, the EU 14-day withdrawal right applies from the date of purchase — but it lapses once we begin performing the service with your express consent, given via the checkout's terms checkbox (Decreto-Lei 24/2014, transposing the EU Consumer Rights Directive).
- If you cancel before work has started: you receive a full refund.
- If work has started with your consent: no refund is due for the work already performed. Where only part of the engagement has been delivered, you're only charged for — and only refused a refund on — the part actually carried out; any genuinely unstarted portion is refunded.
02 / RETAINERS (FOUNDATIONS, GROWTH, AUTHORITY)
Retainers (Foundations, Growth, Authority)
Foundations, Growth and Authority can be billed monthly or prepaid for the first 3 months at a 5% discount. The rule below applies the same way to both — prepaying changes when you're charged, never what you're owed or what you get back.
Your 14-day right comes first, and it overrides everything else in this section. If you're buying as a consumer, you can withdraw from your order within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason, under Decreto-Lei 24/2014. Checkout asks you to expressly consent to work starting before those 14 days end; if you give that consent and then withdraw before the service has been fully performed, you're refunded for whatever hasn't yet been supplied — including any part of the first three months, months 1–3 in full if none of them has started yet, and this applies whether you paid monthly or prepaid the full block upfront. Nothing below narrows this right.
After the 14-day window: the 3-month minimum term is not affected by which billing option you chose. Cancelling during the minimum term does not refund months 1–3, whether you paid for them one at a time or upfront in one prepaid charge — that money is contractually owed either way, and we deliver the full three months regardless. Prepaying doesn't let you "buy out" of the commitment early; it isn't buying anything different from monthly billing, just paying for it sooner.
After the minimum term: unstarted whole prepaid months are refunded — pro-rata, at the undiscounted monthly rate. If you prepaid a block that runs past your 30 days' notice, every prepaid month that hasn't started when your notice takes effect is refunded at the standard monthly rate (€890 / €1,750 / €3,200 ex-IVA — the rate without the −5% prepay discount), with the IVA charged on that portion refunded proportionally.
- The month notice falls in, and any month already delivered, is never refunded — that work has been done.
- We settle unstarted months at the undiscounted rate because the −5% was consideration for committing to the full three-month block; on a month you didn't ultimately hold that commitment for, we price it back at list rate instead. In practice this is slightly in your favour — you get back marginally more per month than the discounted rate you paid for it. Worked example: you prepay a Foundations block (months 4–6) for €2,536.50 ex-IVA, then give 30 days' notice during month 4. Month 4 is started and isn't refunded; months 5 and 6 are unstarted, so you're refunded 2 × €890 = €1,780.00 ex-IVA, plus the IVA already charged on those two months.
- A billing period not yet paid for at all (because you gave sufficient notice before the next monthly charge, on the monthly option) is simply never charged.
Deliverables already produced are never refundable, on either billing option — completed audits, published content, built links, delivered reports and delivered sprint work. Any refund under this section is for undelivered future months only, never a clawback of work already done.
If we're at fault: where we're unable to deliver a paid-for period (an agency-side delay or failure), the unstarted portion of that period is refunded pro-rata, or credited against the next period, at your choice — regardless of which billing option you're on or whether the minimum term has ended.
03 / HOW TO CANCEL
How to cancel
Email support@seobypros.com with your order reference (SBP-…). A written cancellation email satisfies the 30-day notice requirement for retainers; we'll confirm receipt and the effective cancellation date in writing.
04 / WHAT ISN'T COVERED
What isn't covered
Dissatisfaction with rankings, traffic levels or AI-citation outcomes isn't, on its own, grounds for a refund, since — as stated in our Terms — no agency can honestly guarantee those outcomes. What's covered by this policy is the scope of work itself: for example, the Audit not being delivered, or a sprint's outreach not running as scoped. If you believe a deliverable wasn't provided as described, contact us and we'll review it directly.
05 / HOW REFUNDS ARE PAID
How refunds are paid
Where a refund is due, it's paid to the original payment method, in EUR, within 14 days of the refund becoming due. We'll confirm in writing the net amount refunded, the IVA amount refunded, and — for a prepaid-retainer refund — exactly which months it covers. We don't substitute credit notes or service credits for cash unless you ask us to.
